Fairy Tale Place Names

Wave Calls for Google

since no one has yet managed to explain the importance of wave google on the internet and they all do not know quite rough what it is, I will try to explain by listing some of its potential.

Wave is just a tool like other open-source tools such as google maps, gmail, youtube and many others that aims to bring together in-house many of the tools of Web 2.0 recently born. Of course aims to aggregate these tools and expand their potential.

Take, for example the ability to chat with friends while watching the conversation every single character they typed, and any correction to the text. This at first sight could look as unnecessary or even annoying in a chat room, because as you write a sentence then I think about it then write something else, reading etc?! Let's say it's as if we were talking in real time, so while one writes the other has the opportunity from responding immediately.
Now leaving aside the fact that we chat with this technology in a wave, you can share a video, create a custom map, for example to play sudoku with 50 other people at once, create a video conference, share photos .

And some will wonder but what a wave? I respond by saying that it is not just a bunch of people participating in discussion. To better clarify how the thread of a forum, or by the example of facebook is like a group. I hope I have made quite the idea if not watch the video below.

  • Be Many people think that this is a great innovation, as many social networks already do, albeit in a rougher and less evolved.

Imagine, for example, be a group of students who must do a search and everyone should do a piece or supervise. Many times you do not have the opportunity to meet in a place and use the internet to communicate. Everyone makes his own and someone joins the pieces, and correct them if necessary to give a logic to the document. With google wave would not need all this, since you can share in a wave a 'application. Imagine, therefore, to share a Word document. Now add to the wave all the people who must work in this research. Every part of the revised text by a single user will be viewed in real time from the other, so each participant can view the entire document and monitor what others are doing by being able to correct.

Ora non mi dilungo oltre sull'argomento perchè si potrebbero fare molti altri esempi ma mi sembra superfluo proseguire, l'importante è capire l'innovazione che sta alla base, once you understand this you will think of 1000 other reasons for using it.

Making a final example I could say that would be nice to be able to enter into a social network like facebook.
It gives us the ability to create applications like facebook but shared. Create public or private discussion groups, chat, create video conferencing and more.

But it is also possible that if social networks do not do them this technology, die gradually. As such, this Google service could also be considered a social network for all purposes.

Finally, makes available a total of 5 calls to see the beta of Google wave. If you are kind enough to work I will be happy to pass the call from 5 to 10 and so on, depending on number of visitors and people who work for now I have five business days and I still have some (who I must thank my asked them, they were very polite)
